Where anxiety once lived, peace now dwells.

Tae McGehee

Financial burdens have a way of stealing our peace, clouding our hope, and leaving us wondering if things will ever change.

Years ago, Beatrice purchased a piece of land alongside another woman in her community.

She hoped that by sharing the cost she could one day build a home for her family. But when financial hardship came, she began to fall behind on the payments. The burden of debt grew heavier with each passing month and so did the anxiety she carried.

But God wasn’t finished writing Beatrice’s story.

When Beatrice joined Zoe’s women’s empowerment group in 2022, she found more than practical support. She found a community that pointed her toward Christ, the sustainer. There she was reminded that faithful stewardship begins with trusting God no matter how small the resources in our hands may seem. After all, God can do a lot with a little.

“This group has been a place of transformation for me. I have not only grown in my faith but also learned how to be a good steward of what I have. Today, I am grateful to say that I am debt-free, and my heart is at peace,” says Beatrice.

Together the women encouraged one another to save faithfully, steward wisely, and persevere. Even with the small income she earned through casual work, Beatrice began setting money aside. Little by little hope replaced uncertainty.

Today, Beatrice has paid off the debt that once felt impossible to overcome. She now lives in her own home in Uganda with her three grandchildren.

Faithful partners of Zoe, just like you, make stories like Beatrice’s possible.

Not only are these woman discovering hope in Christ, they are also experiencing practical transformation to build a future they once thought was impossible.

While many of us feel the weight of rising costs in the U.S., your monthly generosity stretches even farther in Uganda. What may feel like a small gift here becomes a life-changing investment in a family’s future there. Through your partnership, women like Beatrice are not only finding practical support but also discovering the lasting hope found in Christ.

Thank you for being a storyteller. Month after month, you are bringing hope where there was uncertainty and peace where anxiety once lived.
