WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Our hope is that you leave Kenya with a deeper relationship with Christ and others as well as a greater understanding and appreciation for working sharing the love of Christ in a developing country. We are confident once you experience this incredible country and the people in it you’ll feel so connected you’ll have to go back!
Kenya Map
Welcome to Kenya! Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, a Zoe team member will greet you. After clearing customs, collecting your luggage, and exchanging currency, you'll head to a nearby team hotel to rest before your short in-country flight to Eldoret and onward journey to Kitale.
All teams will begin their trip in Nairobi before flying to Kitale on a short in-country flight. Upon arrival, a Zoe team member will lead a brief meeting and tour of our ministry sites. From there, team-specific projects will begin. Throughout the week, teams will engage in focused work such as well repair, pastoral training, community outreach, VBS, medical camps, and supporting our orphan care efforts. Teams will also have the chance to visit various regions in northwestern Kenya where Zoe serves. Your time in Kenya will be full, impactful, and unlike anything else—we pray it draws you closer to the Lord and deepens your understanding of the work happening here.
Before leaving Kenya, teams will enjoy an overnight safari experience. You’ll travel about three hours by van to Lake Nakuru National Park and stay at the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. During your stay, you’ll embark on two game drives with the chance to spot lions, leopards, rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, and more. Once the safari concludes, teams will return to Nairobi on a four-hour drive and prepare for the journey home.
Teams will return to Nairobi by lunchtime on their final day in Kenya. After lunch, you’ll have time to freshen up and finish packing at a local guesthouse in Nairobi before heading to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. A Zoe team member will see you off as you check in, grab dinner, and prepare for your late-night departure. We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon!

EXPERIENCE KENYA

In 2026, in addition to our mission-focused work, each team will conclude their time in Kenya with a two-day (one-night) safari at Lake Nakuru National Park, staying at the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. The safari includes two game drives and a scenic return trip to Nairobi before heading home.

All safaris for our mission trip participants are hosted in partnership with our friends at Go Kenya Safari.

“The kid’s smiles spoke a language more powerful than any words and they were more of a blessing to me than I could ever imagine blessing them. If you’re on the fence – just go. It’s a memory that will never be taken away and it will give you more purpose and hope in life than anything else.”
– Chaz Nichols
